Emilie to Represent England
We are very proud of one of our students, Emilie in Year 9, who has been selected to represent England at this year’s 2024 Dance World Cup in Prague, Czech Republic.
Emilie auditioned against hundreds of other hopeful dancers to successfully secure her place on Team England.
She will travel to Prague in June with her dance school, the Kahli Lewis Dance Company, to represent The Wavell School as part of Team England and showcase her talents at the 2024 Dance World Cup.
Kahli Lewis said: “I am so proud of Emilie and all she has achieved. The School and students should be very proud of her achievement. I am delighted that we will be waving the flag for The Wavell School on the world stage.”
Emilie will be dancing for England in a number of dances choreographed by Kahli Lewis including ballet, contemporary and folklore.
As a non-funded event, Emilie is reaching out to the School community to help her achieve her dream of dancing for her country by providing much-needed funding for the kit and essential training. If you would like to sponsor her, you can donate at https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/dwc2024?utm_term=7reY8BMxM or if you would like more information on business sponsorship, please contact Jen at firstname.lastname@example.org
The Dance World Cup 2024 takes place in Prague, from 27th June to 6th July, in which over 6,000 dancers will represent their countries to compete in the greatest all-genre dance competition in the world.
The event will be streamed live so you can watch and support the students and Team England every dance step of the way.
We wish Emilie and the Team the very best of luck!
