Criterion Theatre Workshop
by Bianca V M and Bo W Year 10
On Friday the 7th of March Year 10 GSCE Drama students were kindly invited to the Criterion West End Theatre, where the famous Titanque show is held, to take part in drama Workshop giving an insight into the world of jobs involving theatre tech. This was all able to happen thanks to the Shakespeare School Foundation who provided us with real-life actors to bring our stories to life. As a group we were able to bring our scenes of 'A Midsummer Night's Dream' to reality. We were able to understand, hands on, the job roles with in the theatre such as directing, stage management, lighting and sound. Each group was given the opportunity to understand how a show would run in a real-life West End theatre from the build-up to the show and in the show itself.
