Careers Advice

Advice is available to all students from our Quest Career Consultant, Nikki Coleman. Nikki is in School on Tuesdays in LS1 and Thursdays in D3.

Nikki is available to help with:

  • Discussing your career ideas
  • Guidance on choosing your GCSE options
  • Finding out about college courses
  • Exploring university opportunities
  • Learning about apprenticeships
  • Help with job hunting

Careers Advice Power Point

Mrs Gilbert our Careers Co-ordinator is also available in the LRC for help and advice.

The Wavell has a very comprehensive careers programme. Careers lessons are delivered by Form Tutors through the PSHE programme in conjunction with citizenship, and cover a range of topics including decision-making, self-awareness and communication. Details of the Careers Programme and Community involvement are listed here... Students have access to a well-maintained Careers Resources Library within the LRC which is staffed throughout the day.

Resources available include:

  • College prospectuses
  • A library of books and information leaflets on individual career choices
  • Access to web-based resources such as the Careers software package Kudos
